Pig swims across pond in daring escape bid
This is the dramatic moment a pig swims across a pond in a daring escape attempt.
A butcher was preparing to slaughter the pig for the Chinese New Year when it managed to flee in Neijiang, Sichuan Province, China, on December 24.
Footage shows the pig swimming across the water to avoid becoming a part of the festive dish.
The animal made a 40-minute run until it became tired and was recaptured by the owner.
The butcher said: 'It took me a while to find where it was, and then I saw it swimming in the pond.'
