Commuters were seen cramming onto trains on April 9, a day after a series of train strikes across London.

Footage on a 7:14 Thameslink train from Redhill to Farringdon shows commuters tightly squeezed onto carriages. The video was taken at Purley.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Thameslink is operating a reduced service which caused overcrowding. Simply not enough capacity to get everyone into London to start their day’s work."

They also heard a lady exclaim: "I’m going to lose my job."
