An 11-year-old Chinese boy whose nickname is Er Ge (the second child in his family) prepared a fan with cocoons for his mother.

Video filmed on March 28 in Baoji, Shaanxi shows Er Ge spinning the framework of the fan, skillfully wrapping silk threads around it.

According to his mother, the boy had a passion for raising silkworms, a hobby that his mother didn't fully understand.

Determined to showcase the value of his interest, he decided to make a silk fan for his mother. Since his silkworms hadn't yet produced cocoons, he purchased some for his plan. Through this gesture, he aimed to prove to his mother that his hobby was meaningful and that the cocoons he produced could indeed be transformed into something special for her.

The child had a sense of ceremony and ritual, often putting careful thought into preparing gifts for his mother on special occasions and holidays.
