This is the dramatic moment a concert stage was blown over during a storm in Thailand.

A local rock band was preparing to play when heady rain and driving wind slammed into the outdoor venue in Maha Sarakham, northeast Thailand, on April 9.

Footage shows the 40ft high stage at the music festival toppling over form the force of the gusts. None of the people gathered in nearby buildings were injured.

The storm came amid warnings from the country's Meteorological Department that northern regions would experience tropical summer storms from April 9 to 11.

Thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail, and lightning strikes were expected in the northeast, including Maha Sarakham, before spreading to the rest of the region.
