YouTuber CyclingMikey has made a video owning up to riding through a red light near Victoria station, central London.

"It's my mistake, I hold my hands up, I'm at fault there," he begins before showing the clip he recorded using his helmet camera.

The footage shows the cyclist riding through a red light at a junction between Eccleston Street and Ebury Street on April 8.

In the video, Mike mentions that one of the traffic lights had been twisted around to face the wrong road leading him to believe it was safe to cross.

He provided a screenshot of the correct position of the traffic light.

Mike told Newsflare: "Another camera cyclist was also caught out on this light, and yesterday (09-04-2024) a third cyclist saw a driver go through here.

"I have reported the traffic light to TfL as a result of this. As you can see from the video, I've used my camera to be able to go back and see what happened, and to learn from it."
