Pupils launch girl up tree in cheer dance formation to harvest fruit
Pupils launched their friend up a tree in a cheer dance formation to grab pieces of fruit.
Footage shows the youngsters helping a girl on her feet by letting her stand on their arms like a human tower so she could pick the ripe tamarind in Davao de Oro, the Philippines on February 8.
The girl Mischka Ty was confident and immediately grabbed a branch to hold on to but her legs started to shake moments later.
She was able to throw some of the fruit to her friends, but her tower collapsed, and she fell, albeit still standing, with the help of another student.
She said: 'That was how we used cheer dancing in real-life situations. When you're alone, you can only reach the low-hanging fruit, but working as a team, you can reach the pieces that are higher up.'
