Thousands of Egyptians flocked on early Wednesday to the Amr ibn al-Aas Mosque， the first and oldest mosque ever built on the land of Egypt, to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr.
People gathered to perform prayers and listen to the sermons in the mosque.
After the end of the Eid prayers, people went out to the streets and began the celebration of the feast that comes after the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
