This is the moment two female tourists allegedly stole accessories from a shop in Thailand.

The backpackers entered the gift shop and browsed through racks of souvenirs in Railay Bay in Krabi province, on April 7.

One of them picked up what appeared to be a dreamcatcher, exclaiming to her companion: 'Look! Very nice, look.'

She then stuffed the accessory down her shorts as the other woman pilfered another dreamcatcher and shoved it into her bag. Both women left without paying.

Shop owner Paitoon Putsa, 46, said the tourists stole around 200 baht worth of items from the store.

He said: 'I believe the women entered the shop with the intention to steal. They left without buying anything, so I became suspicious and checked the surveillance cameras.'

He added he did not file a report on the theft, but instead posted the footage to warn fellow shop owners in the area to be wary of thieves.
