Around 6:15 a.m. on April 10th, a liquefied gas explosion occurred in a residential unit in Sujiatun District, Shenyang, northern China, resulting in one death and three injuries. Preliminary investigation suggests that the incident was caused by user operation leading to a gas leak.

The incident took place at Building 1 of the Light and Elegant Residential Community, which has yet to be connected to natural gas. Most residents in the community use induction cookers, while some rely on liquefied gas (gas canisters) for daily life. Last November, some residents sought help to address property ownership certificate issues. Local authorities responded, stating that due to disputes between developers and construction parties, completion acceptance procedures could not be obtained, rendering property rights certificates unattainable. "Some residents in Buildings 1, 2, and 5 have not completed the check-in procedures but have actually moved in," they added.

The video was provided with permission from local media.
