Strong winds whipped dust onto a road as officials warned of a summer storm in Thailand.

Footage shows the gusts blowing dirt and debris across a road in Nakhon Sawan province on April 9.

Onlooker Peerayut Klaisaeng said: 'The storm was quite strong. Many houses in the area were damaged.'

The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning as a summer storm was expected to affect 60 provincess across the north, northeast, and central regions from April 8 to 11.

Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are entering their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful winds and rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
