A stray wheel bounced along a road beside cars in Thailand.

Footage shows the car part rolling forward on the traffic before it switched lanes to the right in Chonburi province, Thailand, on March 30.

A lorry had to slow down and stop to avoid hitting it before the wheel fell into a grassy ditch.

No one was hurt or damaged because of it, but the owner and how it reached the road were unclear.

Driver Salena said: 'It went across the road and stopped. Some of us had to stop.'

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.

However, a lack of road safety education in schools along with notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws, and chronic under-investment in infrastructure, all appear to hamper the efforts.
