Traffic cops who received a report about bricks on the road causing traffic chaos were stunned when they found there were solid silver ingots.

A driver reported that they had lost silver bars worth a total of GBP 320,000 on the highway in Beijing, China, on April8 .

It was not revealed how the ingots came to fall out of the vehicle without the man noticing and then left scattered across the road, where one of them was thrown onto another car causing severe damage to the bonnet.

Meanwhile, the driver who had lost the silver ingots contacted police was notified that they had been found and was extremely relieved.

They promised to compensate motorists whose vehicles have been damaged by the bullion.

Incredibly, police confirmed that the silver ingots that were lost which in total weighed over 400 kilogrammes (880 lbs) were all successfully recovered.

With silver currently selling for around 900 USD a kilo, that means the lost load was worth around 360,000 USD.
