The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that most of the lightning strikes happened in Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Lodhran, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur.

In Balochistan, the affected areas included Chama, Sorab, Dera Bugti, Pishin, Muslim Bagh, and Qila Abdullah.

Those injured were reportedly provided with medical assistance.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said they have 'directed the PDMA and other relevant ministries to intensify their efforts to ensure swift rescue and relief operations'.
