The Russian city of St. Petersburg hosted its 36th annual rocket model launch event on Sunday, in celebration of the International Day of Human Space Flight, which is also called Cosmonautics Day in Russia.
About 100 rocket models built by children were launched during the event.
Observed annually on April 12, the International Day of Human Space Flight commemorates the date in 1961 when Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin carried out the first-ever human space flight.
