Fitness fanatics did yoga with their pet dogs.

Footage shows the women moving into different poses on their mats while holding their beloved pooches in Iloilo City, the Philippines on March 24.

Jose Sha Maria from the studio The Movement Space said it was the first time a dog indoor workout event was done in their province.

She said: 'It was called doggie Barre which was a mix of yoga, pilates, and barre. For the event, the dogs joined their owners in working out.

'The dogs were incorporated in the workout and became their weights. In turn, they socialized with other dogs and had a great time.'

Jose added they received some negative news concerning animal abuse but the group had so much fun with the ‘enjoyable and unique event for a change.'

She said: 'We want to erase the stigma towards dogs, they usually are not allowed in establishments. Here in Iloilo, we are getting good at it and we hope more socialization events for dogs to spread awareness.'
