A bungling driver's Toyota rolled backwards and hit the front of a local's house.

Footage shows the black vehicle reversing on the downward slope street in Surigao del Sur province, the Philippines on March 28.

It crashed onto a wooden fence and destroyed a family's row of flowering plants.

It then drove forward and hit the fence of a hut on the other side of the street as an angry resident shouted ‘Hey you are going to hurt someone!'

The driver looked stuck for a moment as authorities arrived, asking the driver to stop the car and step down.

Resident Jay Salazar said: ‘The tourist visited our Harp beach and we didn't expect it would happen to our peaceful place. Maybe he was drunk or just didn't know how to drive.'

No one was hurt in the incident and the driver was questioned by police.
