Storyline:
Chinese peacekeepers in Lebanon on Friday provided free medical assistance in the country's southeastern border area at the request of locals.

The border village of Dermimas has been caught in the crossfire of frequent clashes between Lebanon and Israel, and homes and infrastructure have been damaged.

Due to shortages and poor transportation, villagers often lack essential medicines, and even their lives are threatened. Recently, the village sent a letter to the Chinese peacekeeping Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon requesting some much-needed medicines.

On Friday, the Chinese peacekeepers invited representatives of Dermimas clinic to the peacekeeping hospital and donated more than 30 kinds of medicines, including hypertension medicine, antibacterial medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, topical medicine and painkillers.

The Chinese medical professionals also inquired about the health situation in the village, gave advice on the treatment of diseases, and offered guidance on the use of some medicines. The medical team also provided free medical checkups and treatment to the arriving villagers.

This is the third time since its deployment last December that the peacekeeping force has donated medical supplies and medicines and provided free medical care to the Lebanese people during various peacekeeping missions.
