As part of his international tour, and prior to his meeting with Elon Musk, President Javier Milei spoke Thursday at Florida International University (FIU), in a conference in which he deepened his criticism of the functioning of the state and again charged against Martin Lousteau.
"A few days ago I received a criticism from a senator who is also an economist and who complained because the prices of repellents had risen a lot, because there are many mosquitoes as a result of a campaign that was not carried out the previous year, and the famous dengue appeared," said the president, referring to the recent criticism of the radical legislator.

"This mediocre and lousy economist said that all this was to make me realise that there are market failures, and that the state has to protect the people. How can an economist complain about rising prices if demand increases? It seems that this guy is not very good at microeconomics," said Milei, who assured that the problem of dengue "solved itself" thanks to the actions of his administration.

"The problem was in the exchange restrictions left by the previous government, which did not allow the import of repellents. We opened up imports and the private sector solved the problem on its own," he said.
At the end of the event, Milei affirmed that "without the last 20 years of disastrous administration", La Libertad Avanza would not have reached the presidency.
