On April 8, 2024 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, a thrilling video revealed as a three-month-old baby presents with choking and suffocation while being carried for a walk by her grandmother after drinking milk.

Thinking it was just plain choking, the mom rushed in to lay the baby on her side and pat the baby's back, but the situation didn't subside.

Realizing that the baby might be suffocating, the mother, in her nervousness, urgently placed the baby on her lap and performed the Heimlich maneuver as she remembered. Finally, after about 30 seconds, the baby cried out again and got through the crisis.

The child's mother, Ms. Zhu, said in an interview that she was so nervous that she could only rely on her memory to perform first aid, and her technique was not quite standard. Fortunately, the child is now out of danger. She also reminded parents to make sure they have some first aid techniques such as Heimlich just in case.
