A DIY fanatic turned a tractor into a low-cost motorcycle.

Assanai Panmee said the ET80 engine salvaged from a Kubota tractor was bought from a farmer and put fitted with parts of a two-wheeler in Nakhon Pathom province, Thailand.

Footage shows the unique vehicle with handlebars, a seat, and two wheels fixed together into a steel frame.

The owner Assanai said: ‘The motorcycle can reach a top speed of up to 60km per hour.

‘To start the engine, I have to insert an iron stick into a hole and turn it around similar to starting a tractor.'

The vehicle weighing 160kg, with parts sourced from an old Honda Nova 5 and and Honda Wave 100 motorcycle, was also fitted with a sedan mag wheel.

He added: ‘It is remarkably fuel0efficient. Just one litre of fuel can last me up to three weeks.'

The vehicle took two months to build and cost 8,000 baht (174.63 GBP) along with other expenses for structure, tyres, brakes, belt, and sprocket totalling 15,00 baht (327.43 GBP).
