Several cars were stuck after a road became flooded due to heavy rainfall in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir.

This incident happened in Chokidar Nallah area of Uri tehsil of Baramulla district on April 15.

Visuals showed the cars trapped on the heavily-flooded road in the area after it was hit by massive rainfall. The water which had collected in the area flowed with a lot of intensity which could have led to the cars taking a tumble and falling off the road.

In conversation with Newslions, the District Police of Uri revealed that despite deploying an excavator to deposit gravel and small rocks along the route in an attempt to halt the water flow, this measure proved insufficient. The forceful current of the water prevailed, sweeping away anything obstructing its path.

Consequently, numerous vehicles found themselves stranded in the midst of this ordeal for an extended period. A significant crowd had amassed in the vicinity, braving the relentless rainfall under umbrellas as they observed the unfolding situation.
