Tourist not used to rented motorcycle loses control and falls into canal
A tourist who was not used to rented motorcycles lost control and fell into a canal.
Dashcam footage shows the Chinese foreigner emerging from a corner street and accelerating across the road in Chiang Mai province, Thailand, on April 9.
He bumped the two-wheeler on the sidewalk before he was knocked over from the vehicle and plunged into the water.
Driver Kiatticha Wongthamma said: 'I was going to have a meal. He was using a rental motorcycle from a nearby shop.
'They looked inexperienced and fully twisted the throttle, so he plunged into the canal. Everyone quickly ran to help them.
'I think the motorcycle was quite large, and its usage, compared to their country, was different with an automatic gear.'
