Firefighters Save 2 Dogs in House Fire in Vermont Knolls, LA, USA

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of West 77th Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found a 1,400 square foot one-story house with fire showing at the front with exposure to the rear. According to witnesses, the homeowner called in the fire. The homeowner and residents were not injured. Firefighters saved two dogs, uninjured in the fire. The fire was caused by an electrical panel at the front of the house.
At least three residents were displaced by the fire and are receiving temporary placement assistance and recovery guidance from the American Red Cross, and personal necessities support from the California Fire Foundation SAVE Program, according to the LAFD. The fire was extinguished in 27 minutes by 32 firefighters at the scene, reported the LAFD.
