A couple of hikers were rescued on April 14 after a fall jeopardised their ascent of the Sant'Antone in Italy's Pisano region.

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, a dramatic rescue unfolded in the picturesque terrain of the Pisano region in Italy. Two hikers found themselves in perilous circumstances after a fall jeopardized their ascent along the Sant'Antone via ferrata.

Swift action was initiated, with the SAF (Speleo-Alpine Rescue Force) unit of the Fire Brigade and alpine rescue teams promptly mobilizing to the scene. Braving challenging terrain and adverse conditions, rescue personnel successfully located the stranded couple and swiftly intervened to provide assistance.
