Woman Fatally Shot In Head in Westlake, LA, USA

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Lucas Avenue. Upon arrival, police found a woman lying on the sidewalk curbside, who suffered a gunshot to her head according to initial LAPD information at the scene. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the woman deceased.
Officers placed a privacy tent over the covered body as the investigation began into the fatal incident.
Officer Cuellar, spokesperson for the LAPD, said the woman was between 30-40 years old and was not homeless. It is unknown at this time if the shooting is gang related.
There is currently no suspect information.
