This is the moment a fridge door blasted open when a bottle of alcohol exploded.

The home surveillance camera footage shows the explosion starting a cat that then walked over to see the fridge at the property in the city of Huaihua, in Hunan, China, on April 14.

At the end of the video, the cat was joined by a second feline.

The contents of the fridge were available for the cat to eat, although it did not seem too enthusiastic about helping itself as many of the items had been covered in alcohol.

Local media reported that it was fermenting alcohol in a sealed bottle which had exploded, according to the owner.

The thetenant said: 'A friend gave it to me. It had been sitting there for almost half a month.

'Luckily, there was surveillance footage; otherwise, it would have been difficult to explain to the landlord.'
