Chinese duo performs incredible balancing skills of bamboo pole acrobat
This is the gravity-defying moment a Chinese pair showcased incredible balancing skills on a bamboo pole.
Acrobat Li Meng and his partner Wang Fuquan demonstrated breathtaking 20-foot high pole balancing skills in Heze, Shandong, China, on January 12.
Footage shows Wang carrying the bamboo while Li climbs up, performing daredevil stunts on the road.
The skilful acrobats struck difficult poses and positions while suspended in the air and clinging to the pole.
His partner carefully balances the bamboo on his shoulder while observing Li's movements.
According to Li, he has been learning acrobatics since he was 12 years old and has been practising bamboo pole climbing for 25 years.
He added: 'I chose bamboo pole climbing because I prefer this activity. I can perform eight movements on the bamboo pole.'
The pair have been performing together for years, honing their balance to deliver their best performances to their audiences.
Wang said: 'We must find a way to counteract the force generated by the performance above; otherwise, he will definitely fall when he kicks the pole. Balance is, therefore, paramount.
'Although a performance may only last two or three minutes, each time is, in fact, a test of the skills of both people.'
