Lanterns shake as 6.6-magnitude earthquake hits Japan

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck western Japan on Wednesday night, April 17 with the epicenter in the Bungo Channel, a strait separating Shikoku and Kyushu islands.

Shaking was felt in wide areas across the region. The Japan Meteorological Agency later upgraded the quake to 6.6 magnitude.

This video shows lanterns at a ramen shop swaying in Oita, Kyushu.
