Free municipal consortium of Ragusa, Italy - April, 17.

On April 17th teams were engaged in battling a forest fire that erupted in the demesne area of contrada Randello, as reported from Ragusa. With the morning wind intensifying, the blaze regained strength, necessitating aerial intervention despite the valiant efforts of ground personnel from the Fire Brigade, demesne company staff, and Civil Protection Volunteers.

Specifically, Canadair aircraft, known as CAN 07 and CAN 27 from the national Fire Brigade air fleet, were deployed, under the coordination of a Forest Fire Operations Director. The fire, besides engulfing the demesne area, spread to agricultural settlements, prompting ongoing efforts by firefighters to contain the blaze. Civil Protection teams and aerial resources are providing crucial support in safeguarding the affected areas.
