STORYLINE:

Australia's opening ceremony uniforms were officially unveiled at Sydney's Clovelly Bay on Wednesday, with 100 days to go before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games kicks off.

Adorned with Australia's iconic green and gold, the designs were showcased by nine athletes, from reigning Olympic champions to those striving to make their first Games in Paris.

The models included men's water polo co-captain Blake Edwards, artistic gymnast Georgia Godwin, Tokyo Olympic beach volleyball silver medalist Mariafe Artacho del Solar, Matildas midfielder Michelle Heyman, Tokyo Olympic K-2 1000m sprint canoeing champion Thomas Green, rugby sevens captain Nick Malouf, 100m Australian record holder Torrie Lewis, Australia's inaugural Olympic breaker Jeff Dunne and water polo star Tilly Kearns.

As the centerpiece of the uniforms, the blazer includes the Australian Olympians' Oath on the inside jacket pocket, with the names of all 301 Australian Summer Olympic champions throughout the jacket lining.

Women athletes representing Australia in the Olympics can wear a T-shirt or a tank top with gold and green ribbing under their blazers. They can also opt for stone-colored chino shorts or a green and gold ombre pleated skirt to complete their look.

Meanwhile, the male Olympians will wear a single-breasted linen blazer over a T-shirt with stretch chino shorts.

Indigenous artworks "Walking Together" by Olympic boxer Paul Fleming and "Ngalmun Danalaig (Our Way of Life)" by Torres Strait Island artist David Bosun are also featured in the pocket square and scarf.
