"One of the major issues of our partnership, which constitutes the essence of Gabon-China relations, responds to the need for the two countries to align themselves with the evolution of a global platform. This requires coalescing and pooling efforts to resist risks and challenges that affect the vital interests of both sides."
Zhu Xiaole, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Gabon, noted that the two economies are highly complementary, and China has been Gabon's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years since 2013.
Zhu added that many Chinese companies have invested in various sectors in Gabon, creating jobs and boosting local economic and social development.
