Family members of Nepali nationals recruited into the Russian army have staged a sit-in protest outside the Russian embassy in Kathmandu demanding their safe return.

The protesters believe their relatives were recruited illegally by Russia and reports estimate around 2,000 Nepalis have been enlisted to fight Ukraine.
