STORYLINE:

China and Germany are joining hands to explore the "blue ocean" of hydrogen energy.

Bosch Hydrogen Powertrain Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., located in China's Chongqing, is a typical case of Sino-German cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy. It has successively launched a variety of hydrogen power products. This product range spans cold chain logistics, sanitation, and medium to heavy-duty long-haul transportation.

SOUNDBITE (English): ANDRE POSCH, Battery Production Manager of Bosch Hydrogen Powertrain Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd.
"We have started our joint venture here in March 2021. Since then, we have developed several products for the hydrogen powertrain. The first product we have had here is our fuel cell power module. Then we have our heavy-duty eAxle for commercial vehicles. Then we have our so-called super thermal module (STM), which is a kind of high-voltage cooling solution for the entire truck systems. A geographical location of Chongqing here in the southwest of China is the main core industry city. And it is very unique location here. So we are in the intersection of the Belt and Road Initiative, and then the Yangtze River Economic Belt. We have the Land-Sea (Trade) Corridor, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. And all of that makes this area the home of several logistic companies that are operating on a nationwide level. So for us, that's a very big potential."
