Local men gathered together to rescue five wild boar piglets that fell down a well in south India on April 22nd in this heartwarming video.

The rescue took place in Chakkaraisettipatti village near Omalur, Salem district, Tamil Nadu.

The lost piglets were discovered in the early morning by a man named Arvind who was alerted by barking dogs. Arvind contacted the local Forest Department and then gathered together with other locals to rig a basket to retrieve the piglets.

The piglets were retrieved safely and handed over to the Forest Department and were later released back into the Pannikaradu reserve in the nearby Servarayan south forest.

In a heartwarming display of compassion and quick action, local youth in Chakkaraisettipatti village near Omalur, Salem district, have earned praise for their heroic efforts in rescuing five wild boar piglets trapped in a well.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning when resident Arvind was alerted by the barking of dogs. Upon investigation, he discovered the distressed piglets struggling in the water of a nearby farmer's well. Without hesitation, Arvind promptly contacted the Salem Forest Department to seek assistance.

In a remarkable demonstration of community spirit, a group of young individuals from the area rallied together to construct a makeshift cage and execute the daring rescue mission. With precision and care, each piglet was safely extracted from the well and handed over to the Forest Department.

The surrounding region, nestled adjacent to the Servarayan hills, often sees wildlife such as deer and wild boar seeking refuge due to severe drought conditions. However, the unexpected predicament faced by the piglets underscored the need for swift intervention.

Forest Warden Du Rraimurugan and other forest activists extended their heartfelt appreciation to the courageous youth for their selfless act of kindness. The rescued piglets were subsequently released back into their natural habitat within the Pannikaradu reserve forest under the Servarayan South Forest, ensuring their continued well-being.
