Monkeys cool off by leaping into pool as temperatures reach 41C in Thailand
Monkeys cooled off by leaping into a pool of water as temperatures reached 41 degrees Celsius in Thailand on Monday.
Footage shows the primates enjoying the refreshing paddle under the scorching sun in Lopburi, around 110 miles north of Bangkok.
The Meteorological Department reported a low air pressure system across the north of the country was causing the heat. It warned of tropical thunderstorms later in the afternoon.
They also warned residents to avoid work or outdoor activities during the intense heat, which saw temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius in parts of the north, northeast and central regions.
