The supplies of 1,047 items, including ventilators, defibrillators, X-ray equipment, ambulances, hospital beds and generators, are expected to improve the healthcare situation in Yemen, which has been severely affected by the ongoing conflict since 2015.

China handed over a batch of medical supplies to Yemen it donated to the country at a ceremony held in Mukalla, the provincial capital of Yemen's Hadramaut Province, on Sunday.
The supplies of 1,047 items, including ventilators, defibrillators, X-ray equipment, ambulances, hospital beds and generators, are expected to improve the healthcare situation in Yemen, which has been severely affected by the ongoing conflict since 2015.
The handover ceremony was attended by Shao Zheng, charge d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Yemen, Mansour Ali Saeed Bajash, under-secretary for political affairs of Yemen, and Abdullah Dahan, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population.
Shao expressed his hope that the latest batch of Chinese medical aid would contribute to alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and enhancing the country's healthcare capacity. He emphasized China's commitment to providing humanitarian and reconstruction assistance within its capacity and expressed the desire to help the Yemeni people realize peace soon.
