Smoke billows after Bandhwari landfill in Delhi's Gurugram caught fire on April 23.

A landfill site in Ghazipur also caught ablaze a few days ago sending toxic smoke into the air.

A massive fire broke out in Bandhwari Landfill located in Gurugram, Haryana on April 23 (Tuesday) morning.

People nearby informed the police administration and fire brigade and several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire. After the fire in Bandhwari Landfill, a large and dense plume of smoke started rising. Due to this, breathing became difficult due to accumulation of carbon in the air.

At present there is no information about any casualty in the incident. Ten fire tenders have been deployed from Faridabad and Gurugram to extinguish the fire. Earlier, it took more than 40 hours to control the massive fire that broke out in Delhi's Ghazipur landfill on Sunday evening. Even after the fire has been extinguished, smoke is still coming out and ashes are flying everywhere.

6 fire engines along with 16 excavators and 2 bulldozers were deployed to control the fire that broke out at the garbage mountain in Ghazipur. The help of sprinklers has been taken to prevent ash and dust particles from flying in the surrounding area. The fire in Ghazipur has been extinguished. People living nearby had to face a lot of trouble due to this fire. He also had to face difficulty in breathing due to smoke and dust. During this period, there was problem in transportation from there also.
