This is the impressive moment a Filipino man peeled coconuts with his teeth faster than someone using a knife.

Dhols Mulijon witnessed the incredible skill of the man named Julpi, who was husking a matured brown coconut at a contest in Sulu, the Philippines, on April 15.

Footage shows the talented local using his bare teeth to bite onto the hard fruit and start removing the entire husk, while his competitor was using a machete to peel another coconut.

In the end, the proud local defeated his colleague who used a tool.

Dhols said: 'I was really amazed by how strong his teeth are. It was kind of scary that his teeth might fall out.'

Coconuts are a popular fruit, also known as a dry dupe, in tropical countries. Peeling them is an endeavour needed to reach the succulent white flesh on the inside.
