A car owner used a ladle to scoop out muddy water that flooded his vehicle.

The amusing scene came as storms battered the city of Zhaoqing, in Guangdong, China, as well as surrounding regions, bringing about torrential floods and leaving vehicles submerged in water.

Video footage of one resident shows him dealing with the aftermath of the devastation on April 21 as he scooped out ankle-deep water from the floor of his car with one hand and filming with the other.

The car owner told local media that the water accumulated on the street had reached the level of the car's wheels, so he took a ladle from the boot, which he used to sell dumplings in the past, to empty out the water.

It took him about three to four minutes to scoop out the water, and after drying the inside of his car, he was able to drive it normally.
