A man is planning on “breaking up” with his sex doll lover in the near-future to focus on his real fiancé.

When Rod *met Sonya* online three years ago, he knew he had met his soulmate – but there was another person in the picture that he initially kept under wraps.

The full-time construction worker devotes much of his time and energy to Karina, a sex doll, who he treats as a companion and “pleasure giver” whenever feeling lonely.

As he and Sonya live a long distance apart, with her in Vietnam and him in Australia, it wasn’t much of an issue until he came clean, which caused Sonya to feel “threatened” by his plastic lover.

Now, as he’s popped the big question and looking at moving in together, he’s starting to “lose interest” in Karina – with plans to sell her, and his other dolls, for good.

“During isolated times, Karina was very important to me as I live in a remote location – but as I became closer to Sonya, my interest shifted,” Rod, aged 56, told What's The Jam.

“Now we’re engaged and spending as much time as possible together to develop our relationship, I don’t have much of a need for dolls anymore.

“We are very close and aside from some cultural differences, I feel that we have a wonderful, normal relationship.

“In the future, I expect to move from the bush closer to the city and hope to sell my dolls.

“But it depends how profitable it will be.”

Rod, from New South Wales, Australia, purchased Karina for £2,366 in October 2021, later buying her a “sister” called Lauren for £1,404.

In May 2022, he sold the latter doll for £780 to a friend and then developed an interest in photographing Karina as his muse.

Since then, he’s been offered a job taking snaps for a manufacturer in China – with two more dolls sent to him for free – with his focus on companionship shifting to having a viable side hustle.

Now, Sonya, who has come to terms with the figures, helps Rod with the promotional photography, choosing outfits and doing their makeup.

He added: “She understands my work – and if I need to use Karina for other purposes every now and again.

“There have been times when Sonya has gone home that I’ve used [the dolls] for sex.

“It’s not constructive to talk about me relieving myself with them, though, so now I mostly masturbate the traditional way.

“Some people may benefit from the comfort of having a doll, especially if they’ve been in a bad relationship.

“While she wishes for those people to become more confident in their love with a real woman, there are other purposes for them aside from sex.

“Karina is beautiful and great to have around, but I wouldn’t class her as my partner.

“After a hard day at work too, I can’t be bothered anymore to manipulate a doll, as it’s not easy – they’re very heavy.

“But I’m grateful for the positive experiences I’ve had with them and most importantly, they have kept me occupied during lonely days.

“It’s been great being able to show love for something else while Sonya wasn’t around, as it kept those emotions alive, as well as making me feel more in touch with my fiancé.

“Now, I have everything I need with Sonya and everyday is like a honeymoon – it’s wonderful.”
