The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip from ongoing Israeli attacks had risen to 34,305, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said on Thursday.

In a press statement, the ministry said that the Israeli army killed 43 Palestinians and wounded 64 others during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 34,305 and injuries to 77,293 since the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out on Oct. 7, 2023.

The ministry added that there are still many victims trapped under the rubble, and the devastation of infrastructure has impeded the rescue teams to reach them.

According to a Palestinian newspaper, eight Palestinians were killed following Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) fighters bombed a crowd delivering aid in the western Gaza City.

The Israeli side has not made any response to this.

On Thursday night local time, Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved a ground operation in Rafah at a war cabinet meeting, but the cabinet hasn’t made any related decision. The IDF is still waiting for instructions.

The Times of Israel on Thursday reported that the Israeli military had massed dozens of tanks and armored vehicles along its border with the southern Gaza Strip.
