An ex-girlfriend found hidden cameras allegedly installed in her room by her former lover to track her movements.

University student Ruksuda Vonginta, 23, broke up with her ex at the end of March but remained on good terms after he moved out of their shared apartment in Khon Kaen province, Thailand.

However, she soon grew suspicious of him as she claimed he always knew what she was doing and to whom she was talking.

Upon her friend's insistence, Ruksuda scoured the apartment and was shocked to find several cameras concealed in a power socket, on her desk, and inside a cardboard box on April 18.

She took the gadgets and filed a report with the Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station that same day.

Cops then summoned the obsessive ex-boyfriend to explain the surveillance devices.

The man claimed that he had left the cameras in the apartment 'because he only wanted to hear Ruksuda's voice.' He also reportedly showed her the footage, which did not capture her face.

The furious young woman said her ex still had access to the room as he had not returned the key despite her requests.

She said: 'I tried to ask him to return the key, but he kept saying he still needed to collect some of his belongings. I think he was just trying to buy some time.

'I told him not to enter the room without telling me first.

'I asked him to return the key again on April 16, but he became angry. That night, he tried to enter the room, knocking on the door and twisting the doorknob.

'I felt unsafe, so I bought an extra lock the next day so he would not be able to enter.'

Ruksuda said she did not believe her ex-boyfriend only wanted to hear her voice, as the cameras was angled to record the room.

She said: 'I feel violated that all this time someone was recording me. The cameras are even able to change angles.

'This time, I only filed an incident report to protect myself in case my ex leaked any footage.

'I decided to post my experience on social media not to shame my ex, but to warn other people, especially other women, to be careful. I hope this is the last time I encounter something like this.'

Ruksuda said she has not reported the incident to police as she hoped the public warning would help to keep her ex away.
