USA: Person Shot in Face on Busy Sidewalk in Downtown Los Angeles

At about 3:45 p.m.. LAPD Central Division broadcasted shots fired on 6th and Main streets. One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The shooting suspect fled east on 6th Street. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic dressed in dark clothing. LAPD was able to immediately pursue the shooting suspect and took him into custody a few blocks away. LAPD requested an ambulance for the shooting victim and performed lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived. LAFD declared the victim deceased and was not transported to a hospital. A massive crime scene was established on 6th street between Main St and Maple.
