USA: Shooting Victim in Echo Park, LA

LAPD Northeast Division patrol units responded to reports of a shooting victim at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Alvarado Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male down with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to the hospital by LAFD paramedics in unknown condition.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving.
No further information was immediately available.
