A pet dog in Ghaziabad,
Uttar Pradesh sparked alarm after it allegedly attacked a young girl despite being on a leash .

The incident took place at Ajnara Integrity Society on April 29. CCTV footage captured the moment when the German Shepherd purportedly lunged at the six-year-old and bit her arm as the owner struggled to control it. The girl’s mother quickly intervened, signalling for help and attempting to ward off the dog. The incident occurred with several other children present in the vicinity.
Following a complaint from the girl’s mother Namita Chauhan, the police have initiated a case. Chauhan emphasised that the dog was not wearing a muzzle at the time,Chauhan also claimed that her one-year-old son had been attacked by the same dog, although this was not captured on CCTV. Demanding immediate action, she urged authorities to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, including removing the dog from the society premises.
