One of Mexico's most successful bands Banda Sinaloense El Recodo de Cruz Lizarraga, also known as Banda El Recodo, were greeted by devoted fans at Japan's Narita International Airport on April 30.

The band will be playing at an Latin-American festival in Tokyo on May 4.

Alfonso "Poncho" Lizarraga (clarinet and musical director) said: "This is our second time. The first time we were here was in 2002. We had the opportunity to be here in Japan, visiting some cities. I remember we were in Oita. This time, we came for the World Cup, so we wanted to take the opportunity to return."

Tomo, a Japanese fan, commented: "I'm very happy that (Banda El Recodo) has arrived in Japan, and I'm very excited about the concert day in Odaiba."

Alex, a fan from Mexico, came to welcome them and said: "I'm glad to welcome them and to have a little bit of Mexican music again. I'm very excited about the concert on May 4th, so everyone is welcome to come."

Banda Sinaloense El Recodo de Cruz Lizarraga, also known as Banda El Recodo, arrived at Narita International Airport on April 30, 2024, in Narita, Japan. The members of one of Mexico's most successful groups of banda music came to Japan for a second time to perform in a Latin-American festival to be held on May 4 in Tokyo.
