Giant appetite! Large elephant checks passing trucks for snacks
A large hungry elephant was spotted checking passing trucks for snacks.
The ravenous jumbo even stole a bag of food from a pickup truck in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeast Thailand, on April 3.
Footage shows the wild animal walking on the road, chasing the car to look for something to eat.
It then found food in the back of the vehicle and took it out, eating it on the motorway.
Terrified onlookers captured a video of the daylight robbery before the elephant made its escape back into the woodland.
Conservationists believe that the 3,000 elephants living in the wild in Thailand have evolved to target human food as it is tastier than the foliage found in the forests.
The majority of the country's wild elephants are found in the sprawling Khao Yai National Park, which is home to around a third of the country's species of animals.
