Westmoreland Kansas homeowner panics seeing confirmed tornado over her house .
"It's over my f_______ house," the homeowner yells on the video. She said the funnel was a tornado, on the ground, previously in Westmoreland, Kansas. She was also pelted by debris which presumably prompted her to stop recording.
Sarah Tells We expected the tornadoes to be Northeast of us more towards the northeastern corner of the state, not in our area. We had a thunderstorm warning but it was just a garden variety thunderstorm, or so we thought. The sirens went off and I stepped outside and saw the tornado so clearly the sirens did not go off until the tornado was already on the ground. It just shows we have a lot to learn about tornadoes yet.
I've been a weather enthusiast my entire life. I've waited so long to see a tornado in person and I finally got to see one today. When they say that it sounds like a freight train, that is not a lie. The videos do not do the sound justice. I'm just sad that 22 homes and one life was lost in my little town tonight.
