A terrified woman fled as a massive landslide struck southwest China.

The dramatic video was filmed in Jianhe County in Guizhou Province on April 30. A mountain suddenly collapsed, knocking down residential houses.

According to the report, on the night of April 29, Jianhe County experienced severe convective weather, with local rainfall exceeding 130 millimetres.

During the geological hazard inspection in Liuchuan Town, it was discovered that parts of the risk slope in Groups 7 and 8 of Nanjiao Village had collapsed. Immediate evacuation of residents was organised.

Upon receiving the report, Jianhe County Natural Resources Bureau promptly rushed to the scene, expanded the scope of evacuation, intensified monitoring, deployed personnel for on-site observation, and alerted pedestrians and vehicles to prioritise safety. At 6:43 p.m., the risk slope experienced a landslide, resulting in the destruction of a brick and wood structure house, with direct economic losses exceeding 300,000 yuan (£33,161), but fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
