USA: Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle

Pomona PD and LACoFD responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian down in lanes in the 900 block of East Holt Avenue in the city of Pomona. Firefighters and paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Pomona PD did have someone detained. Officers are still in the beginning stages of their investigation. Unknown at this time if alcohol or speed was a factor in the crash. Pomona PD had both west and eastbound lanes of Holt Avenue closed as they investigate the fatal crash.
